1 / 1
This policy is applicable to all persons working or travelling onboard any BOURBON vessel or at any port,
base, dry dock or other facility.
All personnel engaged in or in the vicinity of any operations involving a suspended load
shall
respect and
comply with this CLEAR DECK POLICY.
x
All personnel
shall
remain within designated safe areas until suspended loads have been finally
positioned and landed by crane operators and wires are slack and free from tension.
x
Safe areas are considered as areas being fully clear of the suspended load, such as behind crash-
rails or an area of the foredeck fully clear of lifting operations.
The CLEAR DECK POLICY
shall
also apply whenever a vessel is carrying out towing or anchor handling
operations, when wires are deployed and under tension.
In all situations, the duty officer responsible for supervising the operation
shall
ensure the CLEAR DECK
POLICY is applied.
All personnel have responsibility, authority and accountability to ensure that the requirements of the CLEAR
