As a reminder, the European regulatory framework designed to preserve financial stability was supplemented by Directive 2014/59/EU of 15 May 2014 (Directive on the Recovery and Resolution of Banks) establishing a framework for the recovery and resolution of credit institutions and investment firms. The funding mechanism for the resolution mechanism is instituted by European Regulation EU No 806/2014 of 15 July 2014 for institutions subject to it. The security deposit corresponds to the guarantees for institutions having recourse to the irrevocable payment undertakings referred to in Article 70(3) of Regulation (EU) No 806/2014 providing that these undertakings do not exceed 30% of the total amount of contributions collected in accordance with the same Article). For the 2024 financial year, the amount of the contribution in the form of irrevocable payment commitments amounts to -€102,000; the amount paid in the form of contributions amounts to -€69,000 under General operating expenses (note 4.8 "General operating expenses"). In accordance with Implementing Regulation EU No 2015/81 of 19 December 2014, where a resolution measure involves the Fund in accordance with Article 76 of Regulation (EU) No 806/2014, the CRU shall call all or part of the irrevocable payment commitments made in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 806/2014, in order to restore the share of the irrevocable payment commitments in the available financial means of the Fund set by the CRU within the limit of the ceiling set in Article 70(3) of Regulation (EU) No 806/2014 referred to above. The guarantees attached to these commitments will be returned in accordance with Article 3 of EU Regulation 2015/81 of 19 December 2014, once the Fund duly receives the contribution related to the irrevocable payment commitments that have been called. The Group does not expect a resolution measure requiring a call for contributions for the Group within the framework of the above-mentioned mechanism to take place in the eurozone in the foreseeable future; nor does it expect to lose or withdraw its banking licence.
